Ring The Bell for Gender Equality


As our 2020 Vision of being Sustainably Excellence Company, Sintesa Group actively involved in several organization which focus on 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Two of Sintesa Group which are involve are Indonesia Global Compact Network (IGCN) and Indonesia Business Coalition for Women Empowerment (IBCWE). On March 12th 2019, these organizations with collaboration of UN Women, Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and International Finance Corporation (IFC) are held the "Ring The Bell for Gender Equality" and the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani be presence as the honorary guest. The initiave of "Ring The Bell for Gender Quality" is the first time in Indonesia, but as global initiave had rolling in 2015.

In 2015, under the United Nations Sustainable Stock Exchange (SSE) Initiative, along with its partners, launched the annual event "Ring the Bell for Gender Equality" in line with International Women's Day. These events are organized as a partnership by the SSE Initiative, together with the United Nations Global Compact (UN Global Compact), The United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), Women in Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) and the World Federation of Exchanges (WFEs) to raise awareness about the opportunities for the private sector to advance gender equality and sustainable development. IGCN, UN Women, and IBCWE established a working group named 'Women's Empowerment Working Group' (WEP WG). This initiative is expected to focus on issues of business practice with multi-stakeholders in Indonesia. Every year, "The Ring the Bell" campaign is held in various countries. In March 2018, "Ring the Bell" event in New York was succeeded by the participation of 65 stock exchanges across the globe. This year, aligned with International Women's Day, 'Women's Empowerment Working Group' will hold the "Ring the Bell for Gender Equality" event for the first time in Indonesia supported by Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and International Finance Corporation (IFC),
