CORPORATE COMMITMENT THROUGH RESPONSIBLE PRODUCTION

SDG 12 is about ensuring sustainable consumption and production patterns, considering unsustainable patterns of consumption and production are root causes of the triple planetary crises of climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution. 

Indonesia is the second largest producer of food waste in the world, and as an integral part of the economy, we are aware that the business sector has a big role in either being part of the problem – or the solution to this issue. To this end, Sintesa Group has taken a number of steps to gradually reduce our waste production.

Sintesa Group is also implementing a sustainable tourism business model in the Likupang Special Economic Zone through PT Minahasa Permai Development. This business model helps us contribute to SDG 12 by creating jobs and promoting sustainable tourism that uses local culture, supported by responsible waste management.
